Quantum stabilises USCG cutter programme

Quantum Engineering has been awarded a contract by Bollinger Shipyards to provide a fin stabilisation system for 34 ships in the US Coast Guard's (USCG's) Fast Response Cutter (FRC) programme. A spokesman for Quantum told Jane's on 29 May that each of the Sentinel-class vessels will be fitted with two 2 m fins, a QC 1500 actuator for each fin, a QP20 hydraulic power unit and bridge controls
